John E. Fobes, II, CLU, ChFC

John E. Fobes, II, CLU, ChFC draws on his strong background to meet the challenges of his role as the Managing Partner in Sacramento, California. Armed with a degree in economics from the University of California-Berkeley and a wealth of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, he has emerged as an exciting new leader.
A longtime resident of Sacramento, John joined Northwestern Mutual in 1986. and quickly distinguished himself as a successful member of his local network office. Numerous company and industry honors followed. John Fobes also worked to better himself professionally, earning designations such as Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
In 1992, John entered management as a Field Director and proved to be a natural. His team earned both regional and national honors. In 1999, John worked in the Northwestern Mutual corporate office in the position of Assistant Director of Agency Development. He worked with other Managing Partners to promote the growth and development of their offices around the country. In September 2000, John rejoined the Sacramento network office in the dual role of Field Director and transitional Managing Partner.
As Managing Partner, John Fobes is responsible for the company’s sales and service operations for much of Central and Northern California and all of Western Nevada. His experience in sales, recruiting and agency management makes him the ideal choice to lead the Sacramento agency. John continues to build upon the foundation of the Fobes Financial Group, as highlighted in a recent article in the Sacramento Business Journal.
John is involved in various organizations, including a member of the
Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce,
Sacramento Area Commerce & Trade Organization (SACTO),Chartered Life Underwriters (CLU) and the
National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
